The End Times/Last Days will herald the world’s last empire, the beast empire. Times will become extremely hard for everyone, the devil isn’t going to relent until he’s got as many people as possible in his grip! He’s after your soul for all eternity. The Bible tells us that even some Christians who do not stand firm in Christ Jesus will end up in hell.
1 Timothy 4:1 (CSB)
Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons
Matthew 24:10-13 (CSB)
Then many will fall away, betray one another, and hate one another. Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
So how do we guarantee ourselves a place in heaven? We have to realise that we are a sinner and therefore we have to repent of our sins and stop sinning, then we have to believe in Jesus Christ, be filled with the Holy Spirit and be made righteous. When we are sealed with the Holy Spirit we belong to God and if we continue to lead a righteous life we will get to Heaven.
I’m not saying any of this is easy but look at the alternative on God’s Judgement Day, when we have to give an account of our lives. Remember, God knows every little detail of your life, so it’s no good lying to Him. When God has made His decision there are only two destinations; Heaven or hell. You can’t jump on a jet plane and escape from God! If we have repented of our sins before we die and have led a righteous life afterwards, how much nicer that will be than remaining a sinner and ending up in the lake of fire, tormented for eternity, where there is no escape!
Revelation 20:11-15 (CSB)
Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books. Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
