Ephesians 4:14-15 (CSB)
Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head – Christ.
God’s word never changes. When there are winds of change; humans choosing to go against God’s word and live their lives as they see fit, then they try to re-write scripture to suit their way of life, when in fact they should be looking at ways of changing their life to suit God’s word!
There are people around every corner who will twist God’s word to make their way of life seem perfectly alright and most of us have been there in one way or another but getting deeper into God’s word and reading your bible daily and studying what God has to say will reveal the truth to you – the way God wants us to live and lead a righteous life. If we listen to false prophets and I believe more and more are being exposed by God in these last days, we will be led down the wide road leading to hell instead of going down the narrow road leading to heaven.
Matthew 7:13-14 (CSB)
“Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.
In this ‘anything goes’ society we live in now, you really have to guard your heart and live by God’s truth. Since becoming what I describe as a much more serious Christian and repenting of my past sins, my eyes have been fully opened to what is happening in this fallen world of ours. Sin is rife.
Isaiah 5:20 (CSB)
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
False prophets have infiltrated all areas of life with their lies and false doctrine, all sugar coated and ever so sweet to make it easier for us to swallow. Don’t be fooled by these people, they are making evil sound good and good sound evil. Learn what God’s word has to say yourself, not what the false prophets interpretation of it is. Time spent studying God’s word is time well spent. Read about the two times God destroyed people because of sin being rife. The first is the account of Noah and the Great Flood. Read especially from Genesis 6:5 to Genesis 9:17. The second is the account of Sodom and Gomorrah from Genesis 19:1-29. In both of these historical accounts, sin was the reason for God’s wrath. The sin was becoming greater and greater, just like it is becoming greater now!
Hebrews 4:16 (CSB)
Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
