A TIME TO BE BORN AND A TIME TO DIE

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (CSB)
There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven:  a time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot; a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to avoid embracing; a time to search and a time to count as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away; a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace.

Psalm 139:13-16 (CSB)
For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made.  Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well.  My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began.

God made each and every one of us.  He knew everything about us before we were even conceived.

Jeremiah 1:5 (CSB)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

We all have a time to be born and a time to die.  Only God knows the date and the time of our coming into this world and our departing from this world.  People are often terrified of dying, but what is the point of worrying and fearing death?  The Bible tells us God already knows these dates.  We must trust God, that He knows best.  There is one sure event in all of our lives and that is, we are all going to die one day.  Our death could be caused by one of the following; illness, old age or tragedy.  We simply don’t know, but God knows, and this is why we should get on with living and stop worrying about dying.

Matthew 6:27 (CSB)
“Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?”

Matthew 6:34 (CSB)
“Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

We must not waste precious time worrying, being fearful and anxious about something we have no control over.  God has everything written down about our lives, we must trust Him.
