DON’T LET YOUR SPIRIT FAIL YOU

Psalm 143:7 (CSB)
Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails.  Don’t hide your face from me, or I will be like those going down to the Pit.

Psalm 143 (A Psalm of David) is a cry for help.  It tells of a man’s spirit being weak through the enemy pursuing him.  His heart is overcome with dismay.  He cries out to God for help.

Does this situation sound familiar to you?  If it does, cry out to God for help.  God already knows the problems you face, He’s waiting for you to draw close to Him, He’s there waiting to help you.

Psalm 107:13 (CSB)
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; he saved them from their distress.

We all have spiritual needs.  By reading the Bible and God’s promises to us, we feed our spirit with Bible truth.  The devil will try to fill your mind with despair and darkness, but let God fill your mind instead with His promises and light.  Pray to God and include His promises to you within your prayer and believe.

Isaiah 41:10 (CSB)
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

The author Herbert Locklear found 7,147 promises from God to man in the Bible!  That’s a lot of promises.
