STAY CONNECTED

Without God we are nothing.  With God we are everything.

James 1:17 (CSB)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

James is explaining how God is the source of every good thing in our lives.  If we turn away from Him, we turn to darkness.  We must trust God and remain faithful to Him, even when we are going through a difficult situation.

John 15:4-5 (CSB)
“Remain in me, and I in you.  Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.  I am the vine; you are the branches.  The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.”

God did not create humans for them to go it alone!  God created humans for them to have connection with Him.  In John 15, Jesus explains how He is the true vine and God is the gardener.  As believers in Jesus Christ, we know He is everything to us and we are nothing without Him.  We are the branches and we need to stay connected to Jesus.  Our path to God is through Jesus.

Philippians 4:13 (CSB)
I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.

Paul, the author of Philippians, is saying whatever situation he faces in life, his contentment is a result of being connected to Jesus who gives him strength.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (CSB)
“The Lord is the one who will go before you.  He will be with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.  Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

Moses was telling Israel about the promise of God.  That God will always lead and guide you and will never leave or abandon you.  Stay connected though because God has to have our full attention.  We must put our faith, trust and hope in Him.
