Revelation 12:9 (CSB)
So the great dragon was thrown out – the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.
The devil is here on earth deceiving people. Evil is being made to look good and good is being made to look evil. The devil is a liar and has been from the beginning of time.
Jesus said the following –
John 8:44 (CSB)
You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
In the above scripture Jesus’ words were a rebuke against religious leaders who were leading other people to hell. True sons and daughters of God believe in Jesus and follow His teachings. Sons and daughters of the devil do not!
1 John 3:8 (CSB)
The one who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The devil controls people’s hearts who sin. All is not lost though, because the sinners who repent and believe in Jesus are saved.
There are many sinners in the world today who have not yet repented. As we look around us, we see much evil at work. We know those who are sons and daughters of the devil by their words and deeds.
Ephesians 6:12 (CSB)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.
We are in a spiritual warfare. The devil (and his followers) is fast changing all of God’s creations, even the clouds! Those of us who practice discernment can see what is happening in the world now and we must put on the full armor of God.
Ephesians 6:13 (CSB)
For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

We must be very mindful of people who are deceitful, those especially who are claiming to be of God but are not.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (CSB)
And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no great surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.
The devil has always been deceitful. He convinces people that good is evil and evil is good. This is how he easily fools people.
1 John 5:19 (CSB)
We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.
Things are certainly speeding up in the world right now! But remember, Jesus is returning and the devil’s time is short.
Revelation 12:12 (CSB)
Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you with great fury, because he knows his time is short.
The devil is going to do as much evil and damage as he can in the short time he has left, before he is confined to the bottomless pit and afterwards the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:10 (CSB)
The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
James 4:7 (CSB)
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Stop following the world, turn instead to Jesus. Never take your eyes off Jesus, look to Him at all times.
