Matthew 24:22 (CSB)
“Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.”
The above scripture is spoken by Jesus about the great tribulation which will come on all of the earth in the last days. The elect are believers in Jesus Christ.
Matthew 24:21 (CSB)
“For at that time there will be great distress, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again.”
Take notice of what Jesus says, He is telling us of what is to come during the great tribulation. He will return to gather together all believers in Jesus Christ and take us away from the troubles of the world.
(People’s interpretation of scripture differs here, when Jesus will return, some believe it will be pre-tribulation, some believe mid-tribulation and some believe post-tribualtion).
Regardless of what AI technology has/will invent, the words of Jesus will come true. I’m not dismissing all AI technology, some is very useful but the truth of the matter is that ultimately it’s still not going to take us in a beneficial direction. Only God can do that.
In the Old Testament of the Bible in the Book of Daniel, chapter 2, king Nebuchadnezzar has a dream and only Daniel has the correct interpretation of the dream. God revealed to Daniel what the dream meant. The dream was of a statue that had different parts of its body made of different metals and its feet were made of both iron and clay and the interpretation of the feet part of the statue was of a future, last empire which will be a mixture of iron and clay, in other words it will be an empire that is both strong and brittle. This empire will not last. Afterwards will be the Kingdom of God, where Jesus rules over all of the earth for 1000 years. Please read all of Daniel, chapter 2 to see the king’s dream and the interpretation of it, given by God to Daniel.
We are now almost in August 2025 and Bible prophecy is happening for all to see. This last empire to come is on the horizon but we need not fear because we know Jesus is coming back.
John 14:27 (CSB)
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.”
Jesus’ words in the above scripture were spoken by Him to His disciples and He is telling us also, that as believers in Jesus, we can get through difficult times with courage.
People who hope that AI technology will be something that will take the world in a forward direction are sadly wrong. AI technology has its uses but it stops us, if we let it, from being critical thinkers and dumbs us down as we rely more and more on this technology. Instead of working things out for ourselves we ask AI. We are heading backwards instead of forwards. There is only one person who will take us forward and that person is Jesus.
John 14:6 (CSB)
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Let’s return to Matthew 24:22 (CSB) for a moment.
“Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.”
I believe this verse goes much deeper than saving the lives (the bodies) of people from the horrors of the great tribulation. I believe it is also telling us about our eternal future, about saving our souls from total destruction.
