THE CLOCK IS TICKING

Time moves swiftly on.  As I write this post, it is January 5th 2026 and there are many situations arising around the world.  Political unrest, persecutions of Christians, loss of lives and the list goes on.  None of us know how long we have left on this earth, but have we thought about what will happen and where we will be when we are no longer here?

John 3:16 (CSB)
For God loved the world in this way:  He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

John 5:24 (CSB)
“Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.”

The above two scriptures were spoken by Jesus.  He is telling us that we have to have faith in God, believe in Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit.  We are then saved and will have eternal life after death.  What will happen if we don’t do the above?

John 3:36 (CSB)
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

Matthew 25:46 (CSB)
Jesus said the following:
“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Jesus was talking about the sheep and the goats, the sheep represent the righteous and the goats represent the unrighteous.  He was explaining what will happen when all the nations will be judged by Jesus according to their belief and how they led their lives.  The sheep (righteous) are placed on the right side of Jesus and the goats (unrighteous) are placed on the left side of Jesus.  The ones on the right go into eternal life but the ones on the left go into eternal punishment.  Remember, we are all born a sinner but all of us can be saved by believing in God, repenting of our sins and asking for forgiveness, believing in Jesus and inviting Jesus into our heart and life, and being filled with God’s Holy Spirit and then leading a righteous life.

Tragedy can occur at any time.  Do you know Jesus?  If you are ready to invite Jesus into your heart and life, here is a prayer you can say:

Lord Jesus, I come to you today.  I am a sinner, I repent of my sins please forgive me.  I believe you died and rose for me.  Jesus Christ, come into my life, be my Lord and Saviour.  Take control of my life from this day forward.  Thank you Jesus for saving me.  Amen.

Stand strong in Jesus Christ.
