FEAR COMES FROM THE DEVIL

Isaiah 41:10 (CSB)
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

God tells us not to be afraid, not to be fearful.  Fear is from the devil, God does not want us to be afraid.

2 Timothy 1:7 (CSB)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and sound judgment.

Read this verse again and let it stay in your mind and heart.  Power, love and sound judgment is what God has given us, not inability, hate and poor judgment.  When you are feeling overwhelmed by fear, anxiety and worry remember that your God given spirit of power, love and sound judgment will overcome any situation you are going through.  Fear is a weapon of the devil, he uses it to control our every move and decision – if we let him!

1 John 4:18 (CSB)
There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment.  So the one who fears is not complete in love.

Proverbs 29:25 (CSB)
The fear of mankind is a snare, but the one who trusts in the Lord is protected.

So how do we fully reach this place of power, love and sound judgment?  You put your trust in God, you trust Him 100%.

Psalm 34:4 (CSB)
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me from all my fears.

Psalm 118:6-9 (CSB)
The Lord is for me; I will not be afraid.  What can a mere mortal do to me?  The Lord is my helper; therefore, I will look in triumph on those who hate me.  It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humanity.  It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in nobles.

Isaiah 41:13 (CSB)
For I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.”

Focus your thoughts on the truth of God’s word and do not let the devil control you with thoughts of fear.  When you are fearful you will not think rationally, but if you fill your mind and heart with God’s love and truth you will become filled with a spirit of love, power and sound judgment and you will have peace in your heart, mind and soul.

John 14:27 (CSB)
“Peace I leave with you.  My peace I give to you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.”

Make the decision to trust God 100%, stop being fearful, believe in the Word of God and you will be able to face any situation the devil throws at you.

Psalm 23:4 (CSB)
Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff – they comfort me.
