Revelation 13:16-18 (CSB)
And it makes everyone – small and great, rich and poor, free and slave – to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark: the beast’s name or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: Let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, because it is the number of a person. Its number is 666.
These verses from Revelation in the Bible tell us of a time to come where the beast, who is the antichrist, is revealed to the world. He is a human man who is carrying out Satan’s plans for the earth and all humanity. Can we see such a time as this happening in our lifetime? Absolutely. As technology is advancing at a very fast pace and we now hear of a soon to be worldwide digital currency and possibly a social credit score system put in place, and we read of microchip implants which are already being tested in people’s hands in some places around the world, then it doesn’t take much imagination to know that the next step would be an implant of some description put into people or some form of a digital tattoo put on a person, as the only way for them to participate in this beast system. This will happen 3.5 years into the 7 year tribulation that is coming to the earth.
The Bible warns us not to take the mark, as taking it condemns those who do so to an eternity in hell. Once the mark is taken, you have just sold your soul to the devil and there is no going back! People will panic if they are not able to buy and sell, even some Christians will panic and take the mark, but please do not take the mark. An eternity in hell is not something you would want to have.
Christians will be persecuted at this point in time and many will be martyred for standing firm in their belief in Jesus and refusing to take the mark.
Revelation 20:4 (CSB)
Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Remember though, it is better to die in Jesus Christ and to reign with Him than it is to take the mark and be condemned to an eternity in hell. This life is just temporal, the next life is eternal.
James 1:12 (CSB)
Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
The Crown of Life is also called the Martyr’s Crown. Those who receive it are promised an eternal life with God.
Revelation 14:9-12 (CSB)
And another, a third angel, followed them and spoke with a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is poured full strength into the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb, and the smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or anyone who receives the mark of its name. This calls for endurance from the saints, who keep God’s commandments and their faith in Jesus.”
Revelation 16:1-2 (CSB)
Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.” The first went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and severely painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped its image.
From the above two verses we can clearly see that we will be able to identify those people who have taken the mark of the beast and who worshiped its image by the outbreak of painful sores on them. I believe that when this happens, the devil and his helpers here on earth will still try to deceive everyone by saying the sores are some sort of a disease or pandemic.
At some point the Rapture of the Church will occur. This is when every Christian will be taken off the earth to meet Jesus Christ in the air and be taken to heaven. The Bible doesn’t say when this event will happen. Some people believe it to be before the tribulation, others believe it will be during the halfway point of the tribulation while others believe it will be at the end of the tribulation.
1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 (CSB)
Then we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Some churches and preachers do not teach about the book of Revelation. We can only assume those to be the false prophets and false teachers that Jesus warned us about. Those shepherds are leading their flocks straight towards hell.
