Philippians 4:8 (CSB)
Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable – if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy – dwell on these things.

This scripture was written by the Apostle Paul.  He was instructing believers to think these positive thoughts.  When we think of positive things our minds are in a better place, which improves our mental and physical wellbeing.  Spiritual warfare is taking place all around us.  The evil in the world wants us to dwell on negative thoughts that will lead to anxiety and depression and will eventually become destructive for our mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing.  The devil wants us to be afraid and depressed.  I believe that evil feeds off our negative thoughts.  Also, if the devil gets us into a fearful and anxious state, the mind and body can quickly spiral downwards into depression.  The devil will do whatever it takes to take a person and their thoughts away from God.

We have to be careful what we read, watch or listen to, as negative things can tear down our spirit.  Positive things build up our spirit.  Now is definitely the time to read and consume God’s Word.  This will build up our spirit and make us much more positive going forward.

Dear God,
Thank you for Your Word and guidance on how to live a positive life.  A life where we can build up our spirit to be happy, content and peaceful.  Thank you for positive thoughts that take away the negative thoughts.  Help us to remain positive and close to you God, forever.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
