Isaiah 41:10 (CSB)
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

God spoke these words of comfort and strength through the prophet Isaiah, to reassure the Israelites in their future time of exile in Babylon.  The time from Isaiah prophesying about the exile to the exile actually happening was about 100 to 150 years.  Isaiah also prophesied when the exile would end.

God’s words of comfort and strength in this verse are also important to us today.  They let us know that whatever trial we face, there is no need to fear because God is there with us.  We have no need to be afraid because He is our God.  Strength will be given to us to get through our difficulties.  Our God will help us.  God promises to hold on to us with His righteous right hand.  When times are tough and there doesn’t seem to be an ending in sight, think of this verse and know that God is right there with you, giving you the strength and comfort you need to get through it.

Dear God,
Thank you for always being with us, giving us strength, comfort and help when we face difficulties in our lives.  Thank you for reminding us that there is no need to be afraid, because You are there for us, protecting us.  Thank you God for always holding on to us and never leaving us.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
