Romans 15:13 (CSB)
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This prayer was said by the Apostle Paul for the Christians in Rome. It is a prayer for joy and peace in the heart and mind of believers in God. God gives us hope, peace and joy, by believing and trusting in Him. When you believe in God and Jesus and are saved, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit inside of you. God’s Holy Spirit comes to reside in us and guides us through our life.
Keeping our faith and trust in God strong, during good and bad times, will fill us with hope and bring joy and peace to our heart and mind, even when life is hard. The Holy Spirit in us, gives us the ability to stay joyful, hopeful and peaceful when all around us is in chaos.
Dear God,
Thank you for the precious gift of Your Holy Spirit. He is our comforter and helper during hard times and our guide, along the right path, for the Christian life we lead. Thank you Holy Spirit for keeping us filled with joy, hope and peace in the troubled world we live in. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
