Ephesians 3:20 (CSB)
Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.
This scripture is part of a doxology (words of glory in a closing hymn of praise) in a letter, by the Apostle Paul on behalf of the Christians of Ephesus. There is power inside of us, as Christians, from the Holy Spirit. Our prayers are powerful and God is able to do much more than our human minds can imagine, His power is limitless.
God transforms us into a new person when we become a believer in Jesus Christ and are saved. When our sins are forgiven we become a changed person. We walk by faith and not by sight. We are to live our life in a way worthy of the calling we have received. The Apostle Paul proclaims God’s goodness and grace. God has transformed us from the sinners we were into the likeness of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is at work inside of us transforming us from glory to glory.
Dear God,
Thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for transforming us from fallen sinners into children of God who have the likeness of Jesus Christ. Thank you that your Holy Spirit is constantly working inside of us guiding, correcting and teaching us. Thank you God for all that you do for us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
