Psalms 62:5 (CSB)
Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from him.
King David, author of this Psalm, knew that the way to feel inner calm was to command his soul to rest in God. Inner peace comes by trusting God completely. God will provide your needs, don’t rely on anything else, God is all you need. Trust in God to answer your prayers as your soul waits in silence, with no need to panic or get angry. Wait with patience and with hope.
Dear God,
Thank you that we can wait in hope, and rest in you as we wait patiently for an answer to our prayers. Thank you that we can put our trust in you and that we can wait with inner peace. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
