Isaiah 46:4 (CSB)
I will be the same until your old age, and I will bear you up when you turn gray.  I have made you, and I will carry you; I will bear and rescue you.

God promises to carry us when we are old and gray.  We might have aches and pains or health issues but one thing we can be sure of, is that God will sustain and carry us through all stages of our life.  God is still there in our old age and he promises to always care for us.

The context of this chapter of Isaiah is; God promises to always watch over Israel and sustain, protect and save them.  God will never abandon Israel.  Through the prophet Isaiah, God compares the false gods of Babylon to Himself.  God explains that the false idols have to be carried about by the people.  In contrast, God carries His people from the womb onwards.

Dear God,
Thank you for always being in our life, from our mother’s womb into old age and beyond.  Thank you for sustaining, protecting and saving us throughout our life.  We put our trust in you and we love you.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
