Galatians 5:13 (CSB)
For you were called to be free, brothers and sisters; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
When we have faith and trust in Jesus Christ, we have been set free from the slavery of sin by the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross to forgive our sins. The Apostle Paul warned the Galatians that being set free from sin does not mean you can keep on sinning. Now you have freedom in Jesus Christ, you should not serve the flesh anymore, instead you should serve each other in love.
The message this scripture gives us is; we are to humbly serve each other, and we are not to pursue selfish desires of the flesh anymore.
Dear God,
We have freedom in Jesus Christ and we thank you for setting us free from the slavery of sin. Thank you that we can now serve each other in love and we no longer have to serve our flesh by sinning. We have true freedom in Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
