Psalms 27:14 (CSB)
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart be courageous.  Wait for the Lord.

Waiting for the Lord teaches us to be patient.  God’s timing is different from ours.  It is human nature to want instant answers to our prayers and requests, but God moves in His own time, at the right time, because God knows best.  While we are waiting, we learn how to be patient.  We are told to be strong and let our heart be courageous.  In our life we will face many different trials and temptations, so to have the ability to be strong and courageous will get us through trials and temptations so much easier.  While we wait for the Lord, we need to stay faithful to Him and be thankful for all that God does for us.

This Psalm was written by King David who, in his life, faced many difficult trials.  He remained strong and courageous throughout these times and waited for the Lord to answer his prayers.

Dear God,
When we face trials and temptations in our life, we will wait patiently for you to answer our prayers.  We will stay strong and courageous during these times and we will not be fearful, because we know you are with us God and you will answer our prayers at the right time.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
