Psalms 34:8 (CSB)
Taste and see that the LORD is good.  How happy is the person who takes refuge in him!

To taste and see that the Lord is good, means to be closer to God; to read His Word in the Bible, to accept His truth and to respect God.  Because, when you are serious about doing these things, you will find happiness and peace by trusting God.  You will no longer be fearful.  Whatever the world does, you will know that by putting your trust in God, He will protect you and supply your needs.  Fill your mind with the Word of God instead of filling your mind with fear.

King David is the author of Psalm 34.  David had to escape from King Achish (Abimelech) of Gath.  David pretended to be insane so the king would let him go.  When David had escaped, he wrote Psalm 34.

Dear God,
Thank you that we can take refuge in you. When the world offers uncertainty and fear, we are thankful that by trusting you God, you give us happiness and peace, you give us protection and you supply our needs. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
