Ephesians 6:12 (CSB)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.

There is spiritual warfare at work all around us.  In this verse, the Apostle Paul is explaining about the enemies that believers in Jesus Christ will be up against.  The enemies in the battle we face are not people.  The enemies we face are evil spirits, an army of demons led by the devil.  People under the influence of the devil are used here on earth to implement the evil schemes of the devil.  These spiritual battles are taking place all across the world.  How, as Christians, do we fight against these attacks?  We are told to put on the full armor of God.  This is; a belt of truth, chest armor of righteousness, sandals for the gospel of peace, a shield of faith, a helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  We are also told to pray at all times.  With the full armor of God on we are able to resist the enemies in the evil day.  When we put on the full armor of God, we then take our stand and we stay alert.

Dear God,
Thank you for showing us how to make our stand against the evil in this world.  When we put on your armor, nothing will get in our way.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
